From this project, I learned the beauty of simplicity and the importance of not overcomplicating designs. Users want clarity, ease of use, and an intuitive flow when navigating an app, especially one as globally recognized as FC Barcelona’s mobile platform. Redesigning their mobile app taught me that while creativity is vital, functionality and user experience must always remain at the forefront.

This was my first solo product and UX case study, and the process was both challenging and rewarding. One major insight I gained was that even the most iconic products can benefit from refinement. FC Barcelona’s app is already widely used by fans, but I identified opportunities to better align the platform with user expectations and enhance its usability. For instance, streamlining the ticket purchasing process and integrating a personalized match feed based on users’ preferences were features I proposed and prototyped that felt not only innovative but genuinely impactful.

A highlight of the project was conducting user interviews with fellow Barça fans and testing prototypes with them. Hearing their feedback reinforced the importance of designing with the end-user in mind. Incorporating existing brand elements, such as the club's distinct color palette and typography, into the final design was both exciting and challenging. I realized how critical consistency in visual identity is for maintaining a cohesive brand experience, especially when working with a legacy as rich as FC Barcelona’s.
